Hello:
Just a note to let you know of a new website with information vital to pilots. It’s the
Worldwide Pilots Hotline for reporting adv. reactions to the art. sweetener, Aspartame. See
what flying magazines around the world are saying about Flying & Aspartame (a potentially
deadly combination.) You may call 1-800-969-6050 for info. on ordering Deadly
Deception, which contains an entire section of reprints from flying magazines around the
world – including the Aspartame Alert from USAF official Flying Safety magazine, summer
of 1992. Pilots are singing the praises of ACSN for saving their lives!

Is there such a thing as a military plane called an F-3? It would be an
"active duty" plane as the military is bringing it in. I know there is a
P-3, but I talked with the guy who took the phone call about their arrival and
he said he would have picked up the "P" and it was definetly a "F-3".
TIA,
Andy B.

Can anyone tell me if there is a listing of the "things that
instructors say"? There have been quite a few postings here
and I was wondering if anyone has put them together.
Bart.
Does anyone have any details of where I can get flying lessons in the
Solothurn area of Switzerland ?
Thanks in advance.

The UK has an airplane called the Tornado F-3, which they jokingly refer
to as an air defence fighter. They have a couple at Pensacola, Elgin AFB?
for weapons compatibility and development trials. Could be one of those.
Look for a noisy and probably smoke emmiting gray VG airplane similar in
size to an F-18 with about the same performace as a 172 with four aboard
on a hot day.

Thanks to all who advised me after my earlier post about not flying and
feeling guilty about it. I went up with a CFI for a check out today, and feel
lots better! The check out went great…he signed me off to fly the plane,
but thinks I should do another hour or so of area orientation since I am new
to the area. (I was going to suggest that if he didn’t)
Soo….another mental hurdle overcome……I keep forgetting…..flying’s fun!
(Now I need a post-flight nap…..does this happen to anyone else?)

Just to add my two cents worth, both my son (in California) and I (in
Canada) received our t-shirts from John Purner for being the first to
contribute a report

When slipping in a C172 (left) usually so I can see better I find the
air speed drops so I tend to push the nose down. Is the speed really
dropping or is it due to the air being fowled around the pitot tube.

I just ran into a great resource for anyone flying to, from or in
Alaska.
http://www.ak.net/faa/flytoak/flttips1.htm
It’s run by the Alaska FAA Region.
