Can anyone recommend their headset. I would really appreciate some
information on DCs especially and any other headset that has satisfied
you personally. Also I would like a headset within the price range of
$250-350.
Thanks,
Wes Padilla

I’m pretty happy with my Peltor headsets. Light, in your price range.

I’ve worn a pair of H10-60′s for about 3 years; they’ve performed very
well. Bought them because of DC quality & fact one can adjust tension
of earcups against head — also mic is on a flexible rather than jointed
boom. Good luck, Terry Claassen

I also own and like the H10-60 but had the H10-13.4 been available when
I bought 4 years ago, I probably would have gone with the 13.4 instead.
The H10-13.4 is light and comfortable, but best of all, it’s a David
Clark.

The last few years [about 1500 hrs flying time] I have worn
DC-10-80′s. A few years ago, they were the best you could
get – and the legendary DC warranty service, of course.
But they’re kinda uncomfortable compared to the new squooshy
headsets. Over the years, the 10-80′s have molded somewhat
to my head, or perhaps my head has molded to them :> I don’t
mind them too much, but compared to my buddie’s telex ANR,
most people will run screaming out of the hangar when they
put on my old 10-80.
I need to get an ANR headset. I dunno if I should upgrade
the 10-80′s, maybe even put new seals on them. Or maybe
I should just get the telex ANR’s – they have a deal for
instructors.
The bose are great [tried them at osh] but they cost too
damned much. I can do a jug on my maule for less than
what they cost.

Hey Andrew, DC has announced their new ANR headset called the H10-13X.
It’s selling retail for as low as $539.95! It looks like the H10-13.4
but with the H10-60 microphone boom instead. Sounds like the way to go,
to me anyway!

I just purchased and received 2 headsets from Warren Gregoirre Assoc.
Have not used them yet but have tried them on and they are very
comfortable…very comfortable! I was concerned about the quality and
Warren assured me that the quality was at least equal to the quality
of headests costing several hundred dollars more. he backed this up
with a 30 day money back guarantee. So for $69. I figured I’d give
him a try. I’ll let you know how the sound quality is.
