Well, "Gus the Pilot" will soon be "Gus the Convicted Felon".  In my
opinion, this post constitutes conspiracy to commit interstate fraud
and is a violation of the RICO act.  If you reply to this, you become
    a co-conspirator.

This is a heavy federal felony and a tort against the owners of the
software.  Hold on to your shorts, Gus.  The fun is about to begin.

To all single engine instrument rated, instrument students and CFII’s:
I’m looking for the first nine responses to share the cost of a new
and uncanny realistic instrument simulator. Here is the advertisement
in winter 96 edition of Jet Stream Catalog:

Jet Streams advertisement from the winter 96 edition of their catalog.

The On Top IFR proficiency platform includes two of the most popular
aircraft in the world: the Cessna 172 and the complex Cessna 182. Each
is modeled with uncanny realism, giving you a highly precise training
environment. State-of-the-art aerodynamics, including unlimited pitch
and roll, and butter smooth controls provide as close to a "real
aircraft" feel as you can get on a PC. And with On Top’s industry
first photorealistic panel, the smoothness of the instruments has to
    be seen to be believed!

Of course, On Top has complete IFR instrumentation, including HSI and
RMI, and all the panel components you’d expect. Full Sound Blaster
audio, too, for realistic sound effects. It even features an "instant
trim" lever on the panel, making even the most inexpensive flight
control stick or yoke much easier to fly with.

On Top has out-the-window views, as well. You’ll see complete runway
markings and runway lighting systems but only when you break out of
the clouds! And, the look-left-look-right facility allows you to
    execute circling approaches with ease!

Easy-to-use Setup Screen on Top contains a mouse-driven,
point-and-click, setup screen that allows you to position yourself
anywhere, using On Top’s national database of every airport, navaid
and instrument landing system in all 50 states. Click-and-drag the
miniature aircraft to the location of your choice, or specify the
specific airport you’d like to go to. Along with aircraft position,
you can also specify altitude, heading, airspeed, MP and RPM.

You can even set weather parameters like visibility, cloud ceiling and
tops, and wind direction and speed. Everything you set can be saved to
disk as a trainer state that you can re-load again and again. On Top’s
high-performance map display has everything you’ll need for complete
post-flight evaluation. View your flight’s ground track and profile in
real-time, or fast forward modes. The plan view shows airport
locations, runway layouts and all the navaids. The localizer course
and lateral limits are displayed, so you can verify how well you
tracked the localizer. The profile view displays your altitude during
your flight. It also displays the ILS glideslope, so you can verify
how well you’ve executed the approach.

Zoom in to .5 miles or out to 100 miles, and click on any map element
to instantly see information about it.

The Learning Value Is In The Replay
Much of what you can learn from a simulator "ride" is going to be in
reviewing your performance in the replay. On Top’s Replay Mode is
exquisite. Not only can you rewind and cue torward, but you can stop
anywhere along the original flight path and restart the flight again
    from that point!

    Unique Learning Modules
As good as it is, the On Top IFR Proficiency Platform is more than
just a simulator: it’s a platform. Soon, you’ll be able to add unique
learning modules that will provide high-intensity, situation-specific
training environments with a simulated CFII, getting even more from
your investment in the On Top Proficiency Platform! On Top is made by
the same company that developed the Instrument Pilot IFR Training
Course. These are the only simulators ever created which incorporate
artificial intelligence technology in the foundation of the software.
Only these two products will be able to truly integrate interactive
CFII and ATC functions in the simulation for the foreseeable future.

Why is this important? Any good IFR simulator can let you practice
what you already know, but only Instrument Pilot, and in the future,
On Top, will teach you what you don’t already know, and guide you
through your IFR training with a friendly, interactive CFII by your
    side.

    The financial details

Okay if your interested now here’s how we’ll organize the financial
side of this deal. The first nine responses I receive to this news
article will receive a e-mail confirmation from me along with the
e-mail addresses of all who is interested so far. When we have
accumulated nine interested participants each participant will send a
registered cashiers check for $35.00, paid to the order of "Jet Stream
Catalog".  I will send in the order and receive the original software
and make copies with out installing or registering the original
software. During or original e-mail conversations this will establish
a order of merit possession list. I will send the original software
unregistered to the first person on the order of merit list. And the
process will continue until all participants have the original
software. Additionally, the day I receive the software I will post the
unregistered software on the "alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc" and the
"alt.binaries.warez.games" news groups as a quick alternative to
sending the original software through the mail.

Interested applicants send your responses to gds…@ix.netcom.com. Oh
yeah the advertised price of the software is $349.00.

    Signed,
    Gus the Pilot

P.S. Also posted to the "alt.binaries.warez.ibm-pc" and the
"alt.binaries.warez.games" news groups is a copy of the free demo.
Please download and evaluate for yourself.
