Dont know about that but they have such a mural at Midlleton, Wi (c29)
which I think was done with actual sectionals.

Its only about 6 months old and looks teriffic.

I may have given you false hope, they may not be available to the general
public.  FAA Order 1720.23C, dated 9/26/1984, describes the charts and how
FAA users can obtain them.  To my knowledge that’s the most recent version
of the order.  I’ll post some portions of it below, the charts I’m referring
to are described as "translucent" in the order.

Sectional Charts (SEC) provide topographic and aeronautical information for
VFR navigation by slow-to-medium-speed aircraft. Flat charts are available.
Also, a special printing on one side of translucent, untrimmed paper is
available at the time a sectional chart is printed. No shelf stock of the
translucent charts is maintained. Scale 1:500,000 (1 inch = 6.86 nmi).

g. If flat (nonfolded) copies of individual charts are wanted, type or print
"FLAT" directly on the form adjacent to the appropriate product/s.

h. If translucent copies of Sectional Charts are wanted, type or print
"TRANSLUCENT" directly on the form adjacent to the appropriate product.

Yeah, I was pretty sure it wasn’t made from sectionals, but Sectional
Aeronautical Charts come in only one size, 1:500,000.  Your dimensions
indicate the mural is made from World Aeronautical Charts, which are
1:1,000,000 scale.

Sectionals are also available with the backside blank.  They come in a
rolled tube, the north and south halves of the common folded sectional are
printed on the same side one above the other.  You might consider using a
few of those to make a detailed regional mural along with a JNCA-5 Planning
Chart that shows the 48 contiguous states.  The planning chart is
1:3,000,000 scale, about 3 1/2 by 6 feet.

That’s quite a mural.  Just the 48 contiguous states would make it about 19
feet high and 28 feet wide.
